About

Meet Jeanette, the baby whisperer.

Fifteen years of experience

I’ve been a professional nanny for over 15 years, and I’ve always viewed nannying as a career. Many of the children I cared for came into my care as infants, often their parents’ first baby, and stayed with me through their toddler years.

Families trusted me not only to care for their children, but also to support them through that first year of parenthood. I helped parents navigate new stages, establish routines, and choose age-appropriate activities that supported their child’s development.

Over the years, parents began calling me “The Baby Whisperer” because of my ability to understand their babies’ cues and often recognize what they needed before they could communicate it.

Along with my hands-on experience, I studied Early Childhood Development and continued my education through additional courses and certified training focused on infant and newborn care. Together, that education and more than 15 years of real-world experience shape the way I support families today.

Why I started this

As I began thinking about starting a family of my own, I wanted to build a career that would allow me to continue doing work I love while having the flexibility to be present for my own children. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset, so I started asking myself how I could turn more than 15 years of childcare experience into something that could continue helping families. Creating Baby Whisperer Consulting and offering nanny referral services felt like a natural next step.

Throughout my career, I found each of my nanny positions independently, but I also experienced the application and interview process with many nanny agencies. That gave me a unique perspective. I understand what the process feels like from the nanny’s side, while my years working closely with parents have shown me what families need from the hiring process.

I wanted to create a more personal approach, one that looks beyond a résumé and focuses on finding experienced professionals who truly fit the needs of each family.

What I look for

I help families find career nannies: experienced childcare professionals who have made caring for children their profession and bring years of paid experience, along with additional education or training in childcare and child development. With more than 15 years in the field myself, I know what to look for when evaluating candidates, and I can connect with nannies from a place of firsthand experience.

Reliable care matters. Your nanny should be someone you can depend on, someone who shows up, takes responsibility, and supports both your child’s daily needs and overall development.

Help for the whole household

Bay Area families often need support beyond a nanny, including family assistants, house managers, family chefs, and child chauffeurs. Having worked in some of these roles myself, I understand how they fit into a family’s everyday life. Anyone working in or around your home and children deserves to be chosen with care.

Your family deserves help chosen by someone who has done the work.
